Tradenet

Tradenet is a universally accessible chat wherein people sometimes sell, purchase, seek and bitch about goods, services and items, but mostly just yell ineffectually at Sargo to shut the fuck up about her goddamn scanlocks. To join tradenet, just type tradenet on and you're in. To talk on this net, type trade <msg>. To leave the net, it's as easy as typing tradenet off to disconnect from it. tradenet history will help you catch up with those sweet, sweet deals, or help you see if there is anyone in need of being taught a skill (mostly dodge) that you haven't noticed. tradenet who shows you who is on tradenet at the current moment in time, in case there's some guy impersonating Sargo lately that you want to avoid.

What goes on in tradenet?

Tradenet at its best is people selling/offering shit and people buying/taking shit. Happy days. Maybe a few jokes here and there. Tradenet at its worst is just Sargo spamming about her AK-7 rifle or $7000 seriously-damaged implants amidst the silence.

Teaching is generally handed out free, so don't expect to be paid when you take up someone's request to be taught linguist to 15 raw. You might be tipped if you're lucky, though.

Service hiring (bodyguard, backup medic, ship/pilot hiring, etc) has very wildly fluctuating prices, generally offered by the one in need. Don't be too surprised if one guy hires a ship to Botany for $1000 then another needs a pilot back to FC for $6000. Likewise, don't try and push the prices higher (unless they're ridiculously low, like, $200) if you're the one offering to fulfill the service. They have no set price, and little estimate.

• Keep misinformation/lies/etc to a minimum, unless it's clearly a joke. If you say "wts boss springsteel 1.3k" seriously/out of the blue and someone takes you up on the offer, you'd better deliver.
• No spamming a million shitty messages at once. Only Sargo is immune from this.
• Check the Galleria before spamming "is anybody selling x, wtb x" a million times.
• This is not chatnet, so if you're going to go off on a 20 minute rant about how many cocks you've sucked today, might be best to take it there. Light banter is very common and generally permitted, though, as is relevant discussion. But still, chatnet exists for a reason.
